RA8871M Brief Description:
RA8871M is a low-cost color controller developed for small and medium-size TFT LCDs. It has built-in buffer RAM and supports 8080/6800 8/16-bit asynchronous parallel interfaces as well as SPI and IIC serial interfaces.
RA8871M also provides many built-in functions that reduce the host system’s display load while delivering a high-performance display solution. These include Multiple Display Buffers, Picture-in-Picture (PIP), opacity/transparency control, a Geometric Drawing Engine, built-in/external text display, DMA for external image loading, Block Transfer Engine (BTE), and display rotation/mirroring.

(1) Host Interface
- Supports 8080/6800 8/16-bit asynchronous parallel interface (MIPI DBI Type A)
- Provides Xnwait signal for extended MPU cycles for handshaking
- Supports serial host interface, e.g., IIC, 3/4-wire SPI
- Supports mirror and rotation functions for image data writing
(2) Input Display Data Format
