RA8875 Brief Description:
RA8875 is a dual-layer TFT-LCD controller for text and graphics modes. It can combine text or 2D graphics and supports medium and small digital panels up to 800×480. Built-in 768KB display memory offers a more flexible solution for most applications. Users can also select an external serial Flash interface supporting BIG5/GB encoding, with font input up to 32×32 pixels. For graphics, RA8875 includes a 2D BTE (Block Transfer Engine) compatible with common 2D BitBLT, for converting and transferring large amounts of graphics data. It also has a Geometric Speed-up Engine so users can draw lines, rectangles, circles, and ellipses with simple settings. To match end-user applications, RA8875 integrates screen scrolling, floating windows, graphic patterns, and font magnification, reducing software development time and improving MCU efficiency.
RA8875 provides a low-cost 8080/6800 parallel MCU interface. Built-in hardware acceleration shortens data transfer time and improves efficiency. It also offers pin-efficient serial SPI/I2C interfaces, a built-in 4-wire touch-panel controller, and two PWM channels for backlight or other uses. Compared with other solutions, RA8875 is a powerful, low-cost color TFT controller that helps resolve hardware and software development concerns while delivering a low-cost, high-performance system.
